Solidarity in Action: Welfare Advocacy Handbook

This handbook has been put together by a small group of people who have been involved in beneficiary advocacy and unemployed workers’ rights organisations in Aotearoa New Zealand since the 1980s. It brings together the essential information needed when dealing with the complexities of income and housing support provided by the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) and offers advice on how to act as an effective advocate when supporting individuals and families at the interface with Work and Income.
